PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear change system for a bicycle simple in structure and excellent in reliability. SOLUTION: This sensor device for detecting the operating position of the system comprises a shell 14. The shell is positioned between a change gear and a control device, along a flexible control cable 10 of the change gear. The shell is in a fixed position, and the control cable 10 crossing the shell is movable. Inside the shell, a reference member 18 is movable together with the cable 10. The device comprises a means for detecting the position of the reference member 18 relative to the shell. The means is a potential difference sensor comprising a moving contact 22 attached to the reference member 18, and a conductive channel 23 inside the shell of the sensor, wherein the moving contact 22 is fitted in a slidable manner. |
