PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing mechanism for a manual transmission that allows sleeve displacement by small operating force. SOLUTION: The synchronizing mechanism for a manual transmission is designed so that when a synchronizing ring 17 has a rotational difference from a synchronizing cone 21, a base ridgeline 19c of a chamfer 19 on the synchronizing ring 17 is pressed to an inner ridgeline 14d of a chamfer 14 on a sleeve 12 to regulate the displacement of the sleeve 12 to the synchronizing cone 21.
