PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method wherein a load on an operator is reduced and highly reliable various inspections for a tire mold can be carried out. SOLUTION: A method for inspecting a tire mold by which at least one thing of a circularity of the tire mold, a crown shape and a crown mold surface state is inspected, is provided by a method wherein the tire mold M and a noncontact type sensor 26 opposed to the mold surface are relatively transferred, a distance to the mold surface is measured, and the measured data is analyzed.
