PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter checking device with a mechanism which makes unnecessary a minute adjustment depending upon the subjective judgment of an operator and is easy to handle and further, certainly prevents the flapping behavior of paper tail ends from occurring. SOLUTION: This printed matter checking device for checking printed matter at a sheet-fed printing press prevents the flapping behavior of paper tail ends of printed sheets from occurring. (1) A pressing roller for pressing the printed matter is arranged in a printed matter transfer path at the sheet-fed printing press. (2) A charging device for charging the printed matter and/or the transfer route is arranged in the printed matter transfer path at the sheet-fed printing press.
