摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength of a cylindrical part to prevent the deformation of a hole peripheral part. SOLUTION: This steering boot 1 is formed of the cylindrical part 2 having holes 5 and 5 for passing the output takeout means 11 of a steering device and expansible and contractible bellows parts 4 and 4 connected to both axial ends of the cylindrical part 2, and the strength of the cylindrical part 2 is enhanced. The cylindrical part 2 enhanced in strength is hardly deformed even if a stress is caused by a reaction from the bellows parts 4 and 4 on both sides in the operation of a steering, so that the peripheral parts of the holes 5 and 5 are hardly deformed. The enhancement in strength is attained by setting the thickness t' of the cylindrical part 2 larger than the thickness t of the bellows parts. In this case, the thickness t' is preferably set to 2t or more and 3.5 t or less. It is also preferable to provide a rib 6 on the cylindrical part 2.
