PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a (meth)acrylic acid, capable of stably producing the (meth)acrylic acid over a long period while effectively preventing the polymerization in the production step of the (meth)acrylic acid (e.g. in a reboiler), and further to provide a method for producing the (meth) acrylic acid by using the apparatus. SOLUTION: At least a part of the apparatus is made of a nickel-chromium- iron-based alloy containing 3-20 wt.% molybdenum, or 1-4 wt.% molybdenum and 0.5-7 wt.% copper.
