<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display screen of a passage display device utilized effectively by providing passage display information whose visibility of road displays seen from passers-by is high and which are always correct and also providing information other than passage displays. SOLUTION: When this road display device is operated, the CPU 18 of the device decides whether the device displays an 'arrow sign' or 'Do Not Enter sign' and when it displays the 'arrow sign', at first the CPU performs display control so as to display only the 'arrow sign' by using the entire parts of the display screen of an LED display panel 12 and after a fixed time is elapsed, the CPU performs display control so as to reduce the size of the 'arrow sign' into half and to display the 'arrow sign' in area A of the LED display panel 12 and to scrollingly display a sentence describing an event in area B. Then, after it is displayed for a fixed time, the CPU 18 selects whether the device is returned to the display of only the first 'arrow sign' or the device terminates the display.</p> |
