<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data management method for an electronic digital video camera, by which a user can simply arrange many image files without being conscious of their presence with user-friendliness, while utilizing both merits of random access performance of digital images and consecutive image appreciation which is conducted by the video tape recording method. SOLUTION: The management method employs an electronic camera, that records moving images not on a sequential medium, such as a tape but on a random accessible medium, such as a hard disk where an image file of one unit is created for photographing of each cut. Then many image files in units of several seconds to several tens of seconds generated at photographing are grouped automatically, according to specific conditions such as photographing time range and place or the like, and the image files of each group are reproduced continuously in the unit of groups, without the need for a user being conscious of the presence of the respective image files.</p> |
