PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an alkaline water generation function to an electric hot water pot. SOLUTION: In this electric hot water pot, a water storage vessel 22 with an ion exchange member 23 is detachably provided inside an inner vessel 3, while an opening part (e.g. a water supply port 17) of a vessel body is detachably provided with a power supply part 26 having electrodes 24, 25 extendedly provided inside and outside the water storage vessel 22 in an opening state of a lid body. By supplying power to the electrodes 24, 25 to move hydrogen ions H+ and hydroxyl ions OH- through the ion exchange member 23, alkaline water can be generated on one side of the inside and the outside of the ion exchange member 23 while acid water can be generated on the other side.
