PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head, a combination type magnetic head, a magnetic head recording/reproducing device using such heads, and a magnetic head manufacturing method, wherein the damaging of the magnetic head and a magnetic tape is prevented even when a still mode continues for a long time. SOLUTION: Two magnetic heads 1 and 2 are disposed in one head base 11, and the magnetic head 2 preceding in a magnetic head traveling direction (a) is provided with slopes 9a and 9b formed in the sliding surface side of the end of a rear side with respect to the magnetic head traveling direction (a) so as to be inclined in the traveling direction of the magnetic head when seen from the sliding surface. Thus, dusts scratched off from a magnetic tape 10 by the edge of the magnetic head on a still mode are moved on the slopes 9a and 9b during a growth period, and out to both side faces 13a and 13b of the magnetic head. Thus, the growth of dusts is prevented, and still durable time is extended.
