PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for preventing deterioration in the exhaust performance, occurrence of a discharge error due to crosstalks and decrease in the brightness. SOLUTION: A basic barrier rib structure of a stripe type is such that a second barrier rib 43b or a protrusion, not connected to barrier rib 43, is formed at a boundary between cells existing between the barrier ribs 43. If the barrier ribs are in a lattice structure, a groove is formed in position on a dielectric layer to assure an exhaust space. If the second barrier rib 1 is formed wider or formed in plural so as to have mutual spaces, exhaust performance can be improved. Thus, the effect of improving a contrast is expected to some extent without using a black matrix. |
