PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression efficiency of an audio signal, and also to exactly decode a compressed signal. SOLUTION: An audio data area in an audio packet consists of plural PPCM access units, and a PPCM access unit consists of PPCM sync information and a sub-packet. A sub-stream is arranged in the sub-packet, this sub-stream contains a restart header, and this restart header is arranged for each several pieces of PPCM access units. |
