PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily evaluable method for pressure or pressurization stroke operated in a wheel brake cylinder thereby, and a control unit for performing this method. SOLUTION: Based on a actual operation time which is settable by a control device within a control cycle at that time point, and/or an effective operation time which is included in the preceding control cycle and a relative stroke which is opposed to a maximum stroke, an effective operation signal which is included in the control cycle at that time point, namely that of a pulse duration modulation operation valve which adjusts the wheel break cylinder are computed, and based on a recallable pressure of valve/capacity characteristic curve, an effective differential pressure between both sides of the valves and a computational effective operation time, the pressurization stroke of the wheel brake cylinder between the two preceding and following control cycles are computed.
