PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home security system which can be installed simply, is at a low cost and has various functions. SOLUTION: The home security system is provided with detectors 1 and 2 having a detection means for detecting an abnormal state, a transmission and reception means for transmitting and receiving a weak radio signal by output from the detection means and a first control means for controlling the detection means and the transition and reception means, and a device body having a transmission and reception means for transmitting and receiving the weak radio signals from the detectors, an information means for making a speech of contents stored previously in a voice storing means to a previously-set speaking destination with the output of the transmission and reception means and a second control means for controlling the transmission and reception means and the information means. In the case of receiving the weak radio wave from the detectors 1 and 2, the main body device 3 informs the speaking destination of an abnormal state through a public line.
