PURPOSE: A vibration absorber of an exhaust system for a vehicle is provided to improve durability by preventing a corrugated pipe from being damaged by the vibration delivered from an engine. CONSTITUTION: A vibration absorber consists of a cap member(8) as well as an internal braid and an external braids(7) covering a corrugated pipe and the inner and outer circumferences of the corrugated pipe. The cap member is made by bonding a couple of semicircular flanges. The cap member is inserted to the outside of the external braid to keep the external braid, the corrugated pipe, and the internal braid therein. Plural radiating holes(8a) are formed outside the cap member to radiate the heat of the exhaust gas flowing through the vibration absorber to the outside. In the vibration absorber, the cap member prevents the corrugated pipe from being distorted or vibrated excessively when the engine vibration is transferred through the corrugated pipe. Therefore, the vibration absorber has regular durability even though the entire length of the vibration absorber becomes shorter than 200mm.
