ROTARY TYPE MULTIFUNCTION UNLOADING HEAD OF NUCLEAR FUEL ROD UNLOADING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A rotary type multifunction unloading head of a nuclear fuel rod unloading apparatus is provided to simultaneously implement a fastened nuts dissembling function and a fuel rod gripping function within a limited space, and to enhance the safety and the chance of success in unloading the fuel elements. CONSTITUTION: The rotary type multifunction unloading head comprises an image input device(14) for accurately locating the positions of fastening nuts and the fuel elements, an impact wrench(15) for releasing the fastening nuts, a multiple instrument part having a gripper(16) for gripping the fuel elements, and a rotating device for rotating the multiple instrument part. Total components of the multiple instrument part are disposed by 90°on a rotary table(4) to be rotated by 90°through the rotating device. In addition, a load cell(23) for measuring the inserted status and unloading force of the fuel elements and collets(21), and a flexible inserter(22) are attached to the multifunction unloading head.
