PREPARATION METHOD OF POLYGLUTAMIC ACID FROM HIGHLY VISCOUS FERMENTATION SOLUTION

PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of polyglutamic acid from highly viscous fermentation solution by removing microbes that produce polyglutamic acid from microbial fermentation solution and concentrating it with filtration layer. Thereby, polyglutamic acid is efficiently and economically produced. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of polyglutamic acid comprises the following steps of: (a) obtaining highly viscous fermentation solution of 20 to 30 g/L by fermenting microbes at pH of 5.0 to 7.5 and at temperature of 30 to 40°C for 15 to 30 hours ; (b) adjusting pH thereof to 2-4 or 7-9 and removing microbes from fermentation solution by centrifuging it at 3,000 to 6,000 rpm; and (c) concentrating the resultant fermentation solution with a filter membrane and precipitating filtrate by adding alcohol thereto, to recover polyglutamic acid.
