PURPOSE: A device for testing transmission performance of a digital subscriber line protocol processing unit is provided to simultaneously test a digital subscriber line protocol processing unit of a network and a digital subscriber line protocol processing unit of a subscriber having symmetric or asymmetric data transmission speed. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(301) generates a control signal for supply to a local bus, communicates with a terminal, and displays each state during test. Transceiving protocol processing units(307,308) processes digital subscriber line protocol transmission for data inputted in digital to be outputted in analog, and processes digital subscriber line protocol receiving for a signal inputted in analog to be outputted in digital. Transceiving logical units(305,306) connected with the local bus generate test data by control of the control unit(301), and receives/compares the test data returned by being passed a set path passing the protocol processing units(307,308) to deliver errors to the control unit(301).
