PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a seat plate for a hi-pack chair by adhering variously patterned all-cotton cloth to both sides of the plate is provided to produce diverse designs of seat plates easily. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) getting a single plate by peeling raw lumber thin and cutting the lumber in a fixed width; (ii) dehydrating the wood plate to remove the moisture; (iii) applying adhesive to the dewatered plate and drying the plate; (iv) piling up plural pieces of the wood plate coated with the adhesive and attaching all cotton patterned cloth to both sides of the piled plates; and then (v) pressing the plate into a specific shape at high temperature.
