PURPOSE: A thin film transistor of a liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the quality of an image by preventing a level shift voltage from being varied caused by a misalignment. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor of a liquid crystal display device comprises a source(12) and a drain(13) which are positioned across a gate line(11) of the thin film transistor. The length of the source(12) and the drain(13) is formed larger than the width of the gate line(11) in such a manner that the variation of the capacitance corresponding to an overlapped area between the gate line(11) and the source(12) can be removed when a shot exposure process is carried out. Accordingly, the level shift voltage can be prevented from being varied.
