摘要 PURPOSE: A receiving apparatus for a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter(UART) capable of programming a sampling clock signal is provided to minimize the possibility for receiving an error data when receiving data and receive an accurate data by voluntarily programming the sampling clock signal for sampling data received from the outside. CONSTITUTION: A receiving control unit(10) generates a certain reference clock signal and controls internal blocks of a receiving apparatus. A sampling clock generating unit(12) has a sampling selecting register, receives the reference clock signal to generate a sampling clock signal for sampling an input data, and corresponds to a value set in the sampling clock selecting register and samples inter-different sampling clock signals. A receiving data sampling unit(14) receiving the input data through a receiving data input terminal, and responds to the sampling clock signal to samples the received input data. A shift register(16) successively shifts data inputted from the receiving data sampling unit(14) and outputs the shifted result as one-word data. A FIFO register(18) stores one-word data outputted from the shift register(16) and outputs the stored result as a last receiving data.
