The invention discloses a novel polypeptide, Cu/Zn SOD protein family 9, the polynucleotide encoding such polypeptide, and the method of production thereof by DNA recombinant techniques. Methods of using the polypeptide for treating various diseases such as malignant tumours, blood disease, HIV infection and immune disorder, and inflammation and the like are also disclosed. Furthermore, the invention discloses the antagonist of the polypeptide and the effects thereof. The use of the polynucleotide encoding the novel Cu/Zn SOD protein family 9 is also disclosed. |
