PURPOSE: A cold cathode tube driver using a piezoelectric transducer is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and be compactificated by operating several cold cathode tubes through one routine. CONSTITUTION: The cold cathode tube driver comprises a lightening part(100) and a feedback part(200) which detects current flowing in a plurality of cold cathode tubes(150,160) and controls the brightness of the plurality of cold cathode tubes(150,160) in accordance with the level of the current. The lightening part(100) comprises a piezoelectric transducer(140) generating AC high voltage to output the voltage to two outputs, and at least two cold cathode tubes(150,160) which are serially connected to the outputs of the piezoelectric transducer to be lightened by the AC high voltage applied from the transducer.
