PURPOSE: An ink cartridge for a wet electrophotographic printer is provided to prevent ink smeared in a discharge port from dropping, thereby solving the pollution problem caused by ink dropped to the printer or circumferential environment. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge for a wet electrophotographic printer includes a cylindrical cartridge body(61) having sealed upper and lower parts, a normal-close type discharge port(62) formed at the approximate center of the cartridge body, and ink drop preventing cap(63) installed in U shape to cover the discharge port and having a plurality of shutter parts(63b) formed by a plurality of slits(63a) for selectively opening the discharge port, wherein the ink drop preventing cap is made of elastic material such as rubber.
