<p>PURPOSE:To allow fixing of a protective cover while ensuring a sufficient safety distance with respect to a high voltage insulated wire by inserting a center pin while securing a protective cover at the outer end thereof and then moving the center pin in the direction receding from the fixed part. CONSTITUTION:A protective cover 1 is locked, at the outer end thereof, by means of a lock plate 65 in a lock mechanism. An operating lever 33 is then tilted forward upto a position (a) to advance a cover opening plate 16 thus locating pin receiving pieces 18, 19 on the side of the protective cover 1. A center pin 21 is then inserted into a central hole of the protective cover 1. The operating lever 33 is then raised back to position (b) or (c) depending on the size of the protective cover 1 which is enlarged on a plane through retracting movement of the center pin 21. When the open face of the protective cover 1 is opposed to an exposed conductor part of a high voltage insulated wire and the operating lever 33 is raised upto a position (d) the protective cover 1 is removed, at the inner end thereof, from the center pin 21 and wound around the exposed conductor part.</p> |
