PURPOSE: A method for processing a poll fail of a PP(Peripheral) board in a keyphone system is provided to regard what poll data is not transmitted as a poll fail by the PP board. CONSTITUTION: A CPU of a PP(Peripheral) card waits poll data at a determined interval. If the poll data is not transmitted, the CPU runs a timer, and decides whether a state is a poll data time out(ST11-ST13). If so, the CPU regards the state as a poll fail, and displays a poll fail state(ST14). After generating an interrupt to the CPU of an MPB(Main Process Board), the CPU decides whether the poll data exists(ST15). If so, the CPU clears a display state, and preserves the poll fail state as statistic data to perform a statistic process. The CPU performs a self test to check a component element within a board(ST16).
