PURPOSE: A segment and field sync(synchronization) signal detector is provided to quickly generate a sync signal without additional hardware and improve reliability of the detected sync signal by generating a reference field sync signal and comparing it with the input signal. CONSTITUTION: A 13-symbol correlator(10) determines correlation value of an input signal according to the data segment sync signal and the pre-load 9 symbol of PN511 sequence. A field counter(60) counts a symbol input for one field. A counter(20) stores the counting value of the field counter(60) when the output of the 13-symbol correlator(10) reaches its maximum and detects if there is a change in the next maximum counting value to output a pre-lock signal. A PN comparator(40) outputs a post-lock signal by comparing the input signal with the output of a reference field sync signal generator(30). A detector(50) detects the sync signals and a field switching signal. |
