PURPOSE: An axial force measuring device is provided to prevent the transmission of distortion torque to a shaft by a serration part and balls and minimize the resistance of the axial force transmitted to a strain gauge, thereby measuring the axial force precisely. CONSTITUTION: An axial force measuring device includes a shaft(10) having a fixed part(20) formed with a serration part(60) on an outer peripheral surface and a through hole(22) at a side, a detection part(30) extended from the fixed part and mounted with a strain gauge(32), and an axial force receiving part(40) extended from the detection part and formed with a plurality of mounting grooves(46) for mounting balls(42) and springs(44) on an outer peripheral surface, and a housing(50) coupled with the serration part of the shaft at a side of an inner peripheral surface and formed with a plurality of grooves(54) in an axial direction for securing the balls mounted in the axial force receiving part, wherein the detection part has a diameter smaller than the fixed part and the axial force receiving part, and the grooves of the housing is filled with grease for reducing the friction between the balls and the grooves when the axial force receiving part moves.
