PURPOSE: Driver's leg protecting structure is provided to prevent the shin of a driver from being injured by placing knees far from a pedal in pushing the driver to the pedal at sudden braking and stopping, or pushing the pedal to a driver's seat at a head-on collision. CONSTITUTION: A protector of driver's legs is composed of an upper pedal(2) fixed in a driver's seat by a rotating shaft(1); a lower pedal(5) having a master cylinder rod(52) connected by a hinge pin(3) to rotate, and a pedal part stepped by a driver; and a coupling unit between upper and lower pedals rotating the lower pedal in stepping on the lower pedal. A brake is operated with rotating upper and lower pedals by stepping on the lower pedal in connecting to upper and lower pedals by the coupling part. The lower pedal is rotated around the hinge pin in separating upper and lower pedals by the coupling unit, and the legs of the driver are far from the pedals by folding the pedals. |
