PURPOSE: Support structure of a swash plate of a compressor is provided to prevent a thrust bearing from distortion and to inhibit abrasion and transform of a swash plate and a cylinder by agreeing axial loads applied to the thrust bearing from the swash plate and from the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A piston reciprocates back and forth by rotation of a swash plate. An axial load is applied to a front and a rear cylinder(15,25) as well as to the swash plate. The swash plate and the cylinders may be damaged by the axial load. For this, thrust bearings(7) are mounted between the cylinders and the swash plate. The thrust bearing includes an inner race(71) contacted with the swash plate, an outer race(72) contacted with the cylinder and plural rollers(73) rolling between the inner and the outer race. An axial load(F1) is applied to the inner race from the swash plate while another axial load(F2) is to the outer race from the cylinder. To agree the two axial loads, the swash plate is in contact with the inner race, and the cylinder is contacted with the outer race. The inner race preferably has the same form as the outer race.
