HYBRID UNIT MODULARIZED ADSL MODEM

PURPOSE: A hybrid unit modularized ADSL modem is provided to reduce the size of the ADSL modem board and to maintain the good characteristic by exchanging only the bad module upon degradation of the characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The discrete multi-tone modulating part(14) digital-modulates data to be transmitted depending on line coding scheme. The analog front end(13) converts the digital data to analog signal. One or more hybrid units(12) filters the analog signal to transmit it with predetermined level. The hybrid units(12) is modularized and mounted on the main board which the discrete multi-tone modulating part(14) and the analog front end(13) is formed on. The plurality of pin headers are installed on the hybrid module for coupling the filter and the line driver to the main board of the ADSL modem.
