PURPOSE: A column shift lever detent for shifting is provided to improve operation and reliability of products by lowering operational joint and horizontal clearance. CONSTITUTION: A detent unit(40) arranges a recessed groove(41), a rod(42) and a spring(43) in a small space to apply to the compact product. A column shift lever(10) is connected to a retainer assembly(20) to move and control position. A control shaft operates a transmission through each link structure. The detent unit is placed between the retainer assembly and the column shift lever. The recessed groove is formed in the retainer assembly, and the rod is position-controlled by the recessed groove and elastically protruded in the column shift lever by the spring. The endurance and the reliability of the product are improved by preventing joint and clearance in repeating transmission.
