PURPOSE: A position tracking system is provided to find out the position of wireless transmitter by applying a relative distance on being able to transmit radio to more 3 of the existing basic wireless transmission network base station. CONSTITUTION: A wireless transmitter(10) has a transmission unit to transmit a radio with ID signal and specific position signal for tracking position at a random position in area of being able to receive the radio. The wireless transmitter(10) has a band of VHF/UHF. The position signal has a structure defined to analyze start point and finish point of signal received in some of base station. The position signal is transmitted continuously for a fixed time. The base station(20a, 20b, 20c) analyzes the signal from the wireless transmitter(10), and detects a position signal from specific wireless transmitter, and measures the reception time of the position signal, and calculates radio transmission delay time from transmission time of wireless transmitter to reception time of base station in consideration delay time of circuit being used for detecting the position signal.
