PURPOSE: A foreign matter removing device is provided to eliminate cause of early wear and damage and replacement while contributing to improvement of cost saving and equipment running rate. CONSTITUTION: Horizontal circular gears butted with vertical circular gears rotating turn around rotatable plates(62,63). Rotational direction of a rotatable plate rotates in a reverse direction from a proceeding direction of a belt(1) based upon a middle part of belt. Further, the centrifugal force turning around by contacted to half-moon shaped pockets of the rotatable plates and contact of louvers(56,57) discharges a foreign matter to edge. Moreover, a rotatable plate rotates in a reverse direction of the belt(1). For removing foreign matter on a rear face of return belt of belt conveyor, vertical movable shafts(28,29) move upward and downwardly with the pushing force of compression springs(21,22), fixed on a fixing shaft penetrating a horizontal frame(20). And touch wheels(40,41) directly contact and rotate with belt, combined with the horizontal shafts connected to a center part of belt while the rotatable plates rotate with the vertical circular gears.
