PURPOSE: A method for blocking counterflow and back fire of slag into a tuyere of a blast furnace is provided to minimize the sudden stopping time of the blast furnace and prevent fire accidents, thereby eventually minimizing the opportunity loss of production by preventing counterflow of slag into a tuyere and a branch pipe during sudden stoppage, and sensing back fire right before the generation of the back fire into an oxygen pipe, thereby cutting off the back fire. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a first step (S100,S101,S102) of monitoring an air blowing amount, an internal temperature of a pulverized coal injection lance and a temperature of the surface of an oxygen blowing pipe in a process computer controlling the operation of a blast furnace; a second step (S103,S104) of shutting off supplying of oxygen and pulverized coal when an air volume is radically reduced, an internal temperature of the pulverized coal injection lance is rapidly decreased, or a surface temperature of the oxygen blowing pipe is suddenly increased from the signals detected in the first step; a fourth step (S105) of cutting off hot air current ejected as a heat resistant resin is rapidly expanded by opening the heat resistant resin; and a sixth step (S106) of cooling slag and hot metal filled in apertures of the heat resistant resin by injecting liquified nitrogen.
