PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically adjusting the sound of a receipt signal in a mobile communication terminal is provided to automatically adjust the sound by sensing the surrounding noise and brightness of the light to generate the optimum sound of the reception signal upon reception of the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatically adjusting the sound of a reception signal in a mobile communication terminal comprises a sound sensor, a light sensor, a microprocessor, and a sound generator. The sound sensor senses the surroundings noise and the light sensor senses the surroundings brightness upon generation of the reception signal. The microprocessor compares the measurement value sensed from the sound sensor and light sensor with the predetermined value, and outputs a control signal according to the comparison result. The sound generator drives a speaker through the sound corresponding to the control signal output from the microprocessor.
