Fibrous sheets contain natural or synthetic fibres bound together by means of an aqueous solution of a copolymer containing 0.1-10% by wt. of an optical blueing agent of the formula: (where R is H or CH3; R1 is a C1-4 alkyl, R2 and R3 are the same or different C1-8 alkyls) 1-15% of an olefinically unsaturated monomer having cross-linking properties, and 75-98. 9%wt. other olefinically unsaturated monomer(s). As the blueing ageint is introduced into the mass of the copolymer, it is not removed by washing.
