PURPOSE: When established within the straight part, the ceramic tube prevents the radiant tube from damaging and deforming of the flames directly exposed to the tube and lowers the inside temperature distribution differences for its longevity. A radiant tube is used for a continuous annealing line(CAL) or a pickling galvanizing line(DGL) to heat treat steel plate and is constructed principally of a heat resistant alloy in the shape of a W or U letter. CONSTITUTION: The first straight part of the tube has a preventive ceramic tube of silicon nitride, silicon carbide, or Si-Al-O-N against deformation of the tube. A W shape radiant tube comprises first straight tube, first bend tube, 3rd bend, 4th straight tube, and a support. The first tube has a ceramic tube within the part.
