Device at compression couplings of the kind comprising a conical or double-conical compression means (13) which is threadable on an internally and outwardly smooth tube (11), hose or similar and a supporting sleeve (14) which is insertable in or on the tube (11). The compression means (13) cooperates with a conical or plane surface (26) on a fitting part (12) or the like. The outer surface of the supporting sleeve (14) is provided with helical-shaped threads (16), which are thread-cutting during rotational threading of the tube, alternatively provided to produce corresponding helical-shaped threads during pressing of the compression means (13) on to the tube (11).
