METHOD FOR CONNECTING BEARERS BETWEEN BASE STATION AND BASE STATION CONTROLLER OF IMT-2000 SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for connecting bearers between a BS(Base Station) and a BSC(Base Station Controller) of an ITM-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) system is provided to use an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) transmission method in entire sections between the BS and the BSC and to store a mapping table in a ATM switch, so as to reduce a load of a BIS(Base station Interface Subsystem). CONSTITUTION: An LIU(Line Interface Unit) maintains a mapping table in which an RCE_vci(Radio Channel Element_vci) forwardly corresponds to an ACE_vci(Actual Channel Element_vci), and in which a VCE_vci of a BIS(Base Station Interface Subsystem) existing in a BSC(Base Station Controller) backwardly corresponds to the ACE_vci. An ATM switch(AIS) of the BSC maintains a mapping table in which an identifier distinguishing an SDS_vpi(Selection Subsystem_vpi) and an SDE_vci(Selection Element_vci) within the SDS forwardly corresponds to an identifier distinguishing a BIS(VCE_vpi) and the VCE_vci within the BIS, and in which the identifier distinguishing the SDS(SDE_vpi) and the SDE_vci backwardly corresponds to the identifier distinguishing the BIS(VCE_vpi) and the VCE_vci. A CMX(Compact Media extension) within the SDS maintains a mapping table in which CN_vpi/CN_vci of an MSC(Mobile Services Switching Center) forwardly correspond to a TE_vci(Terminal Element_vci) corresponding to an element of a selector, and in which the TE_vci backwardly corresponds to the CN_vpi/CN_vci.
