PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the entire surface of the screen of a magnetic material inversion display panel into the same color. SOLUTION: In the magnetic material inversion display panel 1, a display liquid 6 obtained by dispersing a minute magnetic material 7 for display colored by colors different with an S pole side surface portion and an N pole side surface portion into a viscous liquid 8 is contained between a transparent front faceplate 2 and a rear faceplate 3 disposed at a prescribed distance apart. The display changing member A having a magnetic pole for display change while lines the magnetic pole of the minute magnetic material 7 for display in a fixed direction when the member A is brought into press-contact with the surface of the panel 1 forms a magnetic field, above the outer peripheral part of a contact portion, in contact with the faceplate 2, of a magnetic pole 12b for display change, between an opposite magnetic pole 14. Besides, in the member A, at a proximate portion of the outer side of the outer peripheral part of the contact portion, occurrence of an inversion display of the minute magnetic material 7 for display inside the magnetic material-inversion display panel 1 of the outer side of the outer peripheral part is prevented by controlling distribution of lines of magnetic force so that the lines of magnetic force do not have a density causing the change of the direction of the minute magnetic material 7 inside the magnetic material- inversion display panel for display.
