PURPOSE: A method for generating steam for home sauna by using electrodes in a water tank and electrically charging the water and an apparatus thereof are provided to control the generation of steam easily and safely by optionally applying power source to three pairs of electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) preparing a first pair of electrodes(S1) having same surface area and being arranged to be facing each other in a short distance(L1); (ii) placing a second pair of electrodes(S2) having a surface area smaller than the first pair of electrodes to be facing each other in a middle distance(L2); (iii) arranging a third pair of electrodes(S3) having a surface area smaller than the second pair or same with the second electrodes to be facing each other in a long distance(L3) based on a same axis. The apparatus comprises a plurality of pair of electrodes, a support where the bottom parts of the electrodes are fixed in, a contact terminal connected to the support, and a top support device fixed to a case of the apparatus for supporting the top parts of the electrodes.
