摘要 PURPOSE: A radiating cathode for a cathode ray tube is provided to accelerate a stabilizing time of an electron emitting cathode by rapidly accomplishing a thermal equilibrium due to the lowering of temperatures at the lower end of cathode supporter and the cathode perimeter. CONSTITUTION: In the radiating cathode for a cathode ray tube, a cathode(5) includes a cylindrical sleeve(2). A heater(1) is inserted into a cylindrical sleeve(2) and a gaseous metal(3) and an electron emitting material layer(4) are formed on an upper portion of the sleeve(2). The cathode(5) is supported by a cathode supporter(6). The cathode supporter(6) is connected with a cathode connecting member(7) which is fixed in a fixed insulating material(8). A heat radiative layer is installed on the surface of the cathode connecting member(7). The cathode connecting member(7) comprises a metal alloy containing chrome. The cathode connecting member(7) contains 18-20% chrome. The heat radiative layer comprises a metal oxide.
