ROUTING METHOD FOR SETTING MULTIMEDIA SERVICE CONNECTION IN OPEN-TYPE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A routing method for setting a multimedia service connection in an open-type communication network is provided to compose a routing table as a pair of distance information between a source subnet and a destination subnet and bandwidth information, classify a child node and a sibling node to connect the child node with the sibling node, extract a subnet identifier from a route and a leaf point, and apply a shortest distance algorithm to obtain path information. CONSTITUTION: A subnet identifier is extracted from a leaf point(701). Connection topology tree information is received to visit an in order traverse, and subnet identifier information is extracted to store extracted subnet identifier information in a subnet list arrangement(702). It is identified whether a subnet matched with the subnet identifier extracted from the leaf point exists in extracted subnet information(703). If the subnet matched with the subnet identifier extracted from the leaf point exists in extracted subnet information, a branch subnet connection setting is requested to a connection performer object for controlling the subnet identifier(704). If the connection is set, the composition of a connection topology tree is changed(705).
