PURPOSE: Provided is a material for organic electroluminescent element and a method of manufacturing the same being able to pattern finely. CONSTITUTION: A source contains at least luminescent center forming compound being able to adsorb laser beam and is formed in predetermined pattern, and targets through which the laser beam is passed, and which have at least one of electron transporting function and hole transporting function. The source and the targets are contacted with each other and the laser beam is irradiated from a target and then the luminescent center forming compound of the source is implanted into the target. Therefore,the manufactured material for organic electroluminant element has a luminescent center in area corresponding to pattern of the source.
