摘要 PURPOSE: An input buffer structure of MP3 decoder chip is provided to realize a reliable MP3 decoder chip by searching sync pattern to announce the start point of frame to be basic unit of MP3 data stream and loading at an input buffer. CONSTITUTION: A sync finder(200) finds sync pattern receiving MP3 stream. A header length calculator(210) calculates volume of side information from header information of a frame. A header address generator(220) generates address of a header buffer(270) receiving volume of side information calculated from the header length calculator(210). An audio length calculator(230) calculates volume of audio data of the present frame form header information of a frame. An audio address generator(240) generates address of an audio buffer(280) receiving input of volume of audio data calculated from the audio length calculator(230). A definite state part(260) searches start of the frame receiving output of the sync finder(200) as input and activates the header length calculator(210) and the audio length calculator(230). An address selector(250) receives input of address generated from the header address generator(220) and the audio address generator(240) and selects address of one input buffer. The header buffer(270) and the audio buffer(280) receive the output from the sync finder(200) and the address selector(250) and make a buffering.
