PURPOSE: To provide a head slider and a disk driving device provided with the head slider capable of suppressing damages of the head slider and a recording medium when the head slider is brought into contact with the surface of the recording medium by vibration or impact, which a foreign matter such as dust is difficult to enter between the surface of a magnetic disk and the floating surface of the head slider, and capable of suppressing the reduction in floating quantity of the head slider and the instability of floating. CONSTITUTION: In the head slider 15 which is provided with at least rail parts 17, 18 having the floating surfaces 17a, 18a which are formed on the opposite surface 16 oppositely arranged on the surface of the moving recording medium and are protruded from the opposite surface 16 receiving pressure floating from the surface of the recording medium by the flow of air flowing between the surface of the recording medium and the opposite surface 16, the contour shapes of all parts facing at least the inflow direction F of the air flow of the peripheral parts 17b, 18b of the rail parts 17, 18 are formed into projecting curved shape in the inflow direction F.
