METHOD FOR DESULFURIZATION OF DESILICONIZED MOLTEN STEEL IN MECHANICAL STIRRING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method for desulfurizing desiliconized molten steel using a mechanical stirring apparatus for reducing the amount of a desulfurizer to be introduced while maintaining the object sulfur concentration stably is provided, which improves desulfurization efficiency and is easy to control a desulfurization process. CONSTITUTION: The titled desulfurization method comprises the steps: introducing converter slag into molten steel before introducing a desulfurizer into molten steel; mechanically stirring for 2 to 5 min after introducing converter slag; introducing conventional desulfurizer; and stirring for 8 to 10 min after introducing a desulfurizer. The converter slag is introduced in a ratio of 1:1 to 3:2 based on slag before desulfurization.
