PURPOSE: To properly limit high-speed dubbing at the cost as low as possible in spite of reset or power supply stop concerning a dubbing device having a function for limiting high-speed dubbing according to prescribed CONSTITUTION: When forced reset or restart is loaded by user operation or re-supply of an external power source, the execution of high-speed dubbing itself is inhibited before the lapse of prescribed time from a prescribed time point corresponding to this restart. Thus, concerning a track, on which high- speed dubbing is executed before the reset operation and high-speed dubbing is originally inhibited within the prescribed time after reset, the illegal execution of high-speed dubbing can be prevented.
