PURPOSE: A method for controlling a program rate for conditional access to received television programs in a digital TV is provided to set up automatically a program rate by comparing a pre-stored word engine with program. CONSTITUTION: A program rate is checked from a received broadcasting signal(S16). A program rate is set up automatically by comparing a prestored word engine with program information when the received broadcasting signal does not program rate information(S21,S22). An operation for receiving the program is determined according to the program rate information when the received broadcasting signal includes the program rate information(S17-S20). |
